The goal was to create an explosive logo animation to draw the viewer's attention. In order to truly sell this effect I divided the log into numerous layers, added a shatter effect on impact, and made a strong windup with the axe. While pieces of wood fly in every direction, small leaves calmly float down surrounding the logo.
